Aesthetic Trends 2023

Much like other industries, each year always brings new trends of products and treatments into the medical aesthetics and dermatology space. With plenty of innovations currently taking the industry by storm, we could see 2023 usher in improved forms of non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments for the face and body with less downtime.

As we look ahead to the new year, it will be interesting to know some of the most promising aesthetic trends that will offer longer-lasting results to patients. This article taps into some of the aesthetic trends to expect in 2023.

Next-Generation Facial Treatments

When it comes to facial treatments, minimally-invasive treatments such as cosmetic injectables, laser treatments, and cosmetic fillers are here to stay. But as 2023 arrives, we expect to see increased use of non-invasive, biostimulatory treatments like like Emface, which combines High-Intensity Focused Electrical Stimulation (HIFES) and Synchronised Radiofrequency (RF) to build facial muscle, lift skin and improve skin texture. which use strong yet safe radio frequency and electromagnetic energies  to strengthen and tone facial muscles, are on the rise and helping patients to rejuvenate their faces and body. This will potentially account for one of the most popular facial treatments in the coming year.

Neuromodulator Treatments

Neuromodulators are facial rejuvenation injections used to treat wrinkles, fine lines, and crow’s feet. The use and acceptance of this procedure have increased over time due to the therapeutic action of botulinumtoxinA (BTXA) present in the injectables. We expect an increase in younger patients seeking to use neuromodulators to maintain their youthful looks. For longer-lasting aesthetic results, treatments such as peptide-powered Daxxify injectables will also dominate this field. Since these products are safe, highly effective, and FDA-approved, patients will have no reason not to go for injectable facial treatments.

Facial Contouring

In addition to innovative treatments like EMFACE, we expect to see an increase in other biostimulatory, facial contouring treatments like Ultherapy, facial fillers and lip enhancement. On the surgical side, brow and forehead lifts are some other treatments we expect to make the list of most sought-after procedures. With the hype growing around topics like lip architecture and multi-modal lifts, we expect that 2023 will bring its own innovations to support what’s already available in the aesthetics space.

Final Thoughts

Here’s our spark notes: The medical aesthetics industry is not new or aversive to changes and innovation. That is why we expect the new year to bring improved ways of providing facial and body enhancements to patients. Non-invasive treatments with longer-lasting results that require the most minimal efforts will garner more attention in 2023, and facial surgical tweaks will continue their upwards trend but with more focus on a look that is natural.
