How To Lose Your IG Filter

Do you love using a face filter in selfies to give yourself a little oomph? Filters can make your facial features appear more flattering, including smoother skin, more open eyes and even thinner or more defined nose.

We can help you lose your face filter for good, in some cases without going under the knife! Here are several cosmetic treatments with zero to minimal downtime that will leave you looking naturally rejuvenated.

Liquid Nose Job:

The nose acts as the centerpiece of the face, and small adjustments can make a dramatic difference. But not all changes require a rhinoplasty, or a surgical nose job. Your appearance may be improved with a “liquid nose job”, which consists of fillers injected by an experienced facial plastic surgeon. For best results, it is important that your injector is knowledgeable in facial anatomy.

Ultherapy:

I love technology that produces real results with surgical precision, like Ultherapy.

It is the only FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment that affects deep facial layers. Ultherapy uses ultrasound to stimulate your body’s own collagen production, which tightens skin and provides a rejuvenated appearance over time. In addition to uplifting facial skin, Ultherapy is also effective in smoothing décolletage wrinkles and can be used to tighten skin around the arms and knees. For optimal results, I often combine it with other non-invasive treatments such as fillers, injectibles and our skin resurfacing laser. There is no downtime, allowing you to get back to your normal routine right after the treatment!

Liquid Facelift:

A liquid facelift consists of a combination of fillers and neurotoxins to address the areas of your face that may need lifting, smoothing or a boost in volume. I often get asked what my favorite filler to use is. The answer is “It depends!”. Based on the patient’s aesthetic goals, I determine at the consultation which fillers and injectibles they will require. As a double board certified facial plastic surgeon, I like to do everything with surgical precision, including consults. That’s why we use Vectra H1 3D imaging system during consultations to demonstrate the changes a patient will see after the treatment.

A Word on Symmetry:

While we may have ideals and certain celebrities that we look up to, not every nose, set of cheeks, brows, and lips will look as gorgeous on us as it does on that person. Beauty is perceived by the mind and the mind loves symmetry. When an image is in a state of balance, it is easier for the mind to process and therefore it is more pleasing. The face is no exception.

While many look at celebrities for features they would like to have, it is also important to remember that their features look great on them because they are in harmony. If you are looking to enhance your lips, for instance, you may also need to enhance your cheeks to achieve the appealing look you are after.

Before and Afters:

Here are several transformation photos of our patients who lost their face filters after both, surgical and non-invasive treatments.

If you or someone you know would like to know about any of these procedures, call Dr. Jennifer Levine in New York City.
