Emface vs. Ultherapy: Synergistic Treatments for Optimal Results

When it comes to non-surgical facial rejuvenation, understanding the strengths of each treatment option can help you make the best decision for your aesthetic goals. Ultherapy and Emface are two leading technologies that, while effective individually, can be combined for enhanced results.

Ultherapy: The Ultrasound Facelift

When we age, collagen breaks down, resulting in loss of skin firmness and elasticity. Through time-tested ultrasound technology, Ultherapy helps produce new collagen growth.

Ultherapy, also known as the ultrasound facelift, targets the skin’s deep foundational layer known as the SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System), which is typically manipulated during facelift surgery. By delivering micro-focused ultrasound energy to this layer, Ultherapy stimulates collagen production, leading to a natural lift and firming of the skin over time.

Ultherapy requires only a single treatment, and while some immediate effects can be seen, the full results typically develop over 4-6 months and can last up to a year or more.

EMFACE: The Facial Lifter and Toner

The EMFACE treatment in NYC combines synchronized RF (radiofrequency) and HIFES (high-intensity focused electromagnetic stimulation) to target both the skin and muscles for comprehensive rejuvenation, acting on the SMAS differently from Ultherapy.

EMFACE for Double Chin Fat Reduction

The EMFACE submental applicator, Submentum, works synergistically with the cheek applicators for optimal lower face rejuvenation. A non-surgical alternative to neck liposuction for some patients, this applicator uses synchronized radio frequency (RF) and HIFES to reduce fat, tighten skin and muscles in the submental area, effectively reducing the double chin.

The treatment protocol generally includes four sessions, spaced about a week apart, with optimal results manifesting 4-8 weeks after the final treatment. Improvements from EMFACE can be seen for up to six months post-treatment, contributing to an enhanced, youthful appearance.

Combining Forces for Comprehensive Rejuvenation

When combined, Ultherapy and EMFACE target multiple layers of tissue, including the muscle, leading to comprehensive rejuvenation. This synergy not only improves the skin’s appearance but also contributes to a more youthful, lifted and contoured look.
