Hand Rejuvenation

Conveniently located to serve the areas of New York, NY

Our hands are often one of the first areas to show signs of aging, as they are frequently exposed to the sun and other environmental factors. Over time, the hands can lose volume, develop wrinkles, and show signs of pigmentation and texture changes. Dr. Jennifer Levine offers advanced treatments for hand rejuvenation, including Radiesse and Sciton Joule laser treatments, to restore a youthful appearance to your hands.

Advanced Treatments for Hand Rejuvenation

Radiesse

Radiesse is a biostimulatory filler that is highly effective for hand rejuvenation. Composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel, Radiesse provides immediate volume to plump and smooth the skin. Over time, it also stimulates the body’s natural collagen production, enhancing skin elasticity and firmness.

  • Benefits: Immediate volume restoration, collagen stimulation, long-lasting results, and a natural look.
  • Ideal For: Individuals with volume loss, wrinkles, and visible veins or tendons in the hands.

Sciton Joule Laser Treatments

Sciton Joule laser treatments offer a range of options for improving the texture and tone of the skin on your hands. These laser treatments can address pigmentation issues, sun damage, and fine lines, resulting in smoother, more even-toned skin.

BBL (BroadBand Light) Therapy

BBL therapy uses intense pulsed light to target and reduce pigmentation issues such as age spots and sun spots. It also stimulates collagen production, improving skin texture and reducing fine lines.

  • Benefits: Non-invasive, minimal downtime, improves skin tone and texture, and reduces pigmentation.
  • Ideal For: Patients with age spots, sun damage, and uneven skin tone on their hands.

MicroLaserPeel

The MicroLaserPeel removes a thin layer of damaged skin to improve texture and provide a more youthful appearance. This treatment is effective in addressing fine lines, pigmentation, and overall skin tone.

  • Benefits: Minimal downtime, significant improvement in skin texture and tone, precise treatment.
  • Ideal For: Individuals looking to rejuvenate the surface of the skin on their hands.

FAQ

How are hands rejuvenated?

As with any procedure, Dr. Levine will provide a unique treatment plan to address your concerns. To create more volume in “bony” hands, filler is used just as it would be for the face. To address pigmentation, the innovative Nordlys laser system is used.

How does the Nordlys laser treatment work?

Nordlys directs pulses of light into the epidermis, or superficial layer of the skin. The light is then absorbed by melanin in the pigmented lesion and is then converted into heat. The heat eliminates the keratinocytes, which are cells within which melanin is stored.

Is it safe?

All cosmetic filler used is FDA-approved with all steps taken to minimize the chance of infection. For laser: The light produced by the system is controlled to ensure that the right amount of energy is used and only the targeted tissue is affected.
